This is our tribute to the dark side. Welcome. 

This coffee came about after we released our Darker roast. The feedback from that roast was divided. 80% of folks told us it was a really strong and wonderful dark roast. But 20% asked, "Can you make it darker?". We had discovered an interesting community of folks who just want the darkest possible roast they can find. They search the world for it. This is our answer.

Bold, deep, and unapologetically intense—this roast is crafted for those who like their coffee as fully roasted as possible—right to the edge, but not over, of being burnt. Deep flavors of charred oak, incredible earthiness, bittersweet cocoa, and molasses with a full, lingering finish. Almost as intense as espresso. If you crave a coffee that is as dark and deep as the sea, this is your brew.  

This is the coffee you make when you want to drink the richest possible roasty flavor you can find or show off to others. It's so comfortable and rich. It's perfect for winter days by the fire, chilly seaside mornings, or just for a blast of the deepest coffee flavor you can find. And the mouthfeel: soft and luxurious. We call it Inky. 

The mix of beans is similar to our Darker roast, a blend of Brazilian and Indonesian (Sumatra) but we take it further. We roast each of these beans as absolutely long as we can without introducing bitterness...and then we pull them off the heat, let them cool, and combine them together. A rich, deep, and dark roast just bursting with flavor.
